Itinerary
10 nights, 11 days
Day 1-2 Arrive in Toronto
Fly into Toronto and make your own way to your hotel, a taxi is quick and easy and is a set fare to and from the airport.
You'll have the rest of the day and day 2 exploring Ontario's vibrant provincial capital. Visit impressive landmarks such as the CN Tower for a 360° view of Toronto and Lake Ontario, or the Rogers Centre stadium. Explore the harbourfront district by boat or on foot, watch a world-class theatre production or shop til you drop in the many shopping areas in the city. 2 nights in Toronto.
Day 3 Toronto to Niagara Falls
Pick up your hire car and drive the 2 hours to the spellbinding Niagara Falls. Board the Hornblower cruise, which takes you right to the foot of the falls for a close-up view.
Then drive to the pretty historic town of Niagara on the Lake. Alternatively, stay right in Niagara with a room overlooking the falls themselves. Spend 1 night in Niagara on the Lake.
Day 4-6 Niagara Falls to Algonquin Park & Muskoka
Drive north through charming rural villages and the Muskoka region before arriving at the magical Arowhon Pines deep in the protected Algonquin Park. All meals are included. Spend these days enjoying the resort and beautiful wilderness, home to an abundance of wildlife, including moose, wolves and black bears. Paddle along one of the many waterways or hike one of the many trails. 3 nights in Algonquin Park.
Day 7-8 Algonquin Park & Muskoka to Ottawa
Continue driving through Algonquin Park onto Ottawa. Take day 8 to enjoy this city! Stroll along the Rideau Canal, which in winter becomes the world's longest skating rink. Pass by the residences of the Prime Minister and Governor-General, the Parliament buildings and maybe visit one of the many museums. 2 nights in Ottawa.
Day 9-10 Ottawa to St Lawrence River & Kingston
Drive to Kingston and spend the next couple of days exploring. Maybe take a daytrip and experience a 1000 Islands cruise. 2 nights in Kingston.
Day 11 St Lawrence River & Kingston to Toronto
Make your way back to Toronto Airport. Return your car before your flight back to the UK.
